The Mamaia-Constanța Destination Management Organization is excited to announce its support for the Balneoclimatic Resorts category in the “Destination of the Year 2025,” one of the most prestigious initiatives for promoting Romanian tourism. In addition, this year Mamaia Resort, Constanța, and the Constanța Casino are once again in the spotlight, having been nominated in key categories:

Mamaia Resort – From a Leader to a Mentor in Romanian Tourism
After Mamaia Resort was named “Destination of the Year” in the Tourist Resorts category in 2023 and received the Special Award for “Best Seaside Resort” in 2024; this year, the resort is taking on a new role. It is no longer just a competing destination, but a model and supporter of other Romanian resorts, especially those specializing in balneotherapy and climate therapy.

This year, Constanța and its historic casino are recognized nationwide as top destinations:
- The city of Constanța has been nominated in the “Inspiring Cities” category, recognized for its rich history, multiculturalism, and ongoing development.
- The Constanța Casino, one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings in Europe, is competing in the “Culture and Education” category as a unique architectural and cultural symbol of Romania.
“Constanța and the Casino are essential to the identity and appeal of the Romanian coast. These nominations are a testament to our cultural and tourist value. Now we need the support of Romanians to propel Constanța and the Casino to the top of the competition!” – added George Măndilă.
Mamaia Resort – a finalist in the “Best Promotion” category (a category decided solely by the jury)
In addition, Mamaia Resort was nominated in the “Best Promotion” category, recognizing the ongoing efforts of the Mamaia-Constanța Tourism Development Agency to transform the resort into a tourist destination.
“The nomination in the ‘Best Promotion’ category is proof that Mamaia Resort is not only a top destination but also a model of success in tourism communication and marketing. We have managed to keep the resort in the public eye through effective campaigns, engaging events, and strategic partnerships,” emphasized George Măndilă.
