This year, the magic of Christmas comes to life in a special way in Constanța with the launch of the first edition of the “Most Beautiful ChristmasStorefront in Constanța” competition. Organized by OMD Mamaia-Constanța, the competition invites all local businesses—from shops, cafes, and restaurants to shopping malls and hotels with street-facing windows—to help beautify the city with the most charming and creative Christmas decorations. We hope this competition will become an annual tradition, bringing joy, color, and a festive spirit to the streets of Constanța.

Together, we can create a magical atmosphere throughout the city, using vibrant colors, bright lights, and creative themes that will impress residents and tourists alike. No matter what field you work in, decorating your storefront is an opportunity to catch people’s attention and be part of a unique project that highlights the community and Constanța’s potential as a holiday destination.
The jury will review all participating storefronts, evaluating them based on their creativity, aesthetics, and originality. The awards will recognize excellence in window dressing and will provide recognition to the winning businesses through extensive promotion in tourism campaigns and on the social media channels of OMD Mamaia-Constanța.
The competition jury consists of: Lelia-RusPîrvan, director of the Constanța Art Museum; Dan Petre Leu, chief architect at Constanța City Hall; Radu Cornescu, vice president of the Constanța Branch of the Romanian Architects’ Association; and AurelianaBoască, president of the Constanța Branch of the Union of Visual Artists.
Competition schedule:
- Contest launch: November 15, 2024
- Contest start date and participant registration: December 2, 2024 – December 15, 2025
- Registration period: You can register in person at the OMD Mamaia Constanța office (32 Nicolae Titulescu Street) or by email at omd.mamaia.constanta@gmail.com, providing the following details: company name, location address, contact information, and the location representative.
- Jury visits: Starting December 16, 2024
- Deadline for keeping the display cases in place: January 12, 2025
- Announcement of winners: January 15, 2025 (in local and national media, as well as on social media)
Awards:
- First Prize: 6,000 lei (net)
- 2nd Prize: 4,500 lei (net)
- 3rd Prize: 3,000 lei (net)
The prizes are tax-free and will serve as a reward for the effort and dedication of the participants who will beautify the city with the most impressive Christmas window displays.
