The Mamaia resort has once again proven itself to be the iconic destination of the Romanian coast, turning the May 1st mini-vacation into a festival of joy, music, and fun. Under the slogan “Waves of Fun,” Piațeta Cazino and the entire resort hosted thousands of tourists and locals for four days, in an atmosphere made complete by excellent weather, spectacular events, and quality tourist services.
If anyone still had any doubts about Mamaia Resort’s appeal, they got their answer in recent days. The “I Grandi Campioni della Musica” event series drew large crowds every evening, cementing Mamaia’s status as the top destination for the start of the summer season.
On May 1, BIBI and 3 Sud Est kicked off the festival with energy and beloved hits. May 2 brought the freshness of JUNO and the charm of Lidia Buble to the stage. May 3 was an evening of romance and rock with ADDA and VUNK, and on May 4, the closing event, Festa Stradale, delighted the audience with DJ Johnny Kraviz, the Zenity Flow cabaret show, and the band Discoteka, in a memorable performance.

In addition to Piațeta Cazino, the entire Mamaia resort was buzzing with events. At Fratelli Mamaia, the parties reached their peak: Mahmut Orhan kicked things off on May 1, followed by Loredana on May 2 and Charmeine on May 3. In the Enigma Zone, the Sunwaves Festival, now in its 35th edition, brought together international techno and house artists from May 1 to 5, cementing Mamaia’s place on the map of major European festivals.
The Festival du Bonheur in Mamaia Nord combined live music, children’s activities, and culinary delights, drawing a large crowd. Kaluda Beach hosted a special DJ set featuring Dim Zach & Daniel Pavel on May 1, while Tulum Mamaia hosted the “Arrabia” party, creating an exotic atmosphere. At Asylum Mamaia, HUGEL put on a show on May 1, alongside Cyclic and Margo.
“Significant investments,” with commensurate results
Over 1,000,000 euros were allocated for artists and stage equipment, with most of the spending taking place in the northern part of the resort, where the clubs have become a magnet for tourists and partygoers.
All operators that remained open during this period welcomed tourists, carried out maintenance work, and raised their standards. Romanians chose Mamaia by a wide margin over other destinations during the May 1 mini-vacation, confirming once again the resort’s reputation.
