The Mamaia-Constanța Destination Management Organization (DMO) has concluded its second successful participation in the Salon Mondial du Tourisme in Paris, one of the largest international tourism fairs, where the Romanian coast was one of the main attractions for French visitors.
Over the four days of the event, the organization’s team had the opportunity to promote the diverse range of tourist experiences offered by Mamaia Constanța. There were numerous interactions with visitors, and the interest shown by French tourists confirmed the destination’s enormous potential in the French market.

French seniors – drawn to relaxing vacations on the Romanian coast
A significant portion of visitors consisted of French seniors, who showed great interest in vacations on the Romanian coast. They appreciated the competitive rates, the hospitality, and the charm of our resorts. Many of them were delighted to discover a destination where they can combine relaxation by the sea with authentic cultural and culinary experiences.
Young French people – fascinated by the festivals and fun on the coast
While seniors dream of relaxing on the beach and strolling along the promenade in Constanța, young French people are eager for fun, adventure, and festivals—and the Romanian coast offers them all these experiences at affordable prices.
Many visitors in the 18–35 age group were interested in the electronic music festivals and concerts that liven up the Mamaia resort every summer, as well as in water sports, diving, and exploring the Danube Delta, located a short distance from the coast.

“We had four wonderful days, during which we interacted with many French visitors eager to discover the Romanian coast. Seniors are delighted by Romanian hospitality and affordable prices, while young people are drawn to the vibrant energy of the festivals. It is clear that Mamaia-Constanța can become an increasingly popular destination in the French market, and we are determined to build on this interest,” said Natalia Vranceanu, communications and public relations specialist at OMD Mamaia-Constanța.
Official talks at the Romanian Embassy in France – partnerships to promote Romania
In addition to interacting with the public, the OMD Mamaia-Constanța team had the honor of attending, at the end of the fair’s third day, an official meeting organized by the Romanian Embassy in France, alongside the other Romanian co-exhibitors.
The event was hosted by Her Excellency Ioana Bivolaru, Romanian Ambassador to France, and Secretary of State Terente Ciui, who facilitated a panel discussion on opportunities for cooperation with French operators and strategies for promoting Romania as a tourist destination. The dialogue highlighted the need for a constant presence in the French market and the development of strategic partnerships to attract more tourists from France.

From March 13 to 16, 2025, Paris Expo Porte de Versailles hosted the 48th edition of the event. Attracting nearly 72,000 visitors, the Salon Mondial du Tourisme served as a bridge between public institutions, the private sector, and destinations around the world.
Our association’s participation in international tourism fairs is part of the OMD’s efforts to promote the Mamaia-Constanța destination.
