The Mamaia resort wrapped up the 2025 summer season in spectacular fashion, once again confirming its status as one of the most dynamic and attractive tourist destinations on the Romanian coast. Following a grand opening on May 1, the season ended in style with an exceptional event— the Mamaia Rally Show—which attracted thousands of participants and spectators from across the country and is poised to become an annual tradition.

According to preliminary observations, the 2025 season has brought asignificant increase in tourist traffic, both in the Mamaia resort and in the city of Constanța. This trend will be confirmed by a future release of official figures, but it is clear that, thanks to careful planning and diversification of events, the results are already evident.

A major milestone for Mamaia this year was the opening of the new stage inPiațeta Rex, later renamed the Arlecchino Stage, which has become a landmark of entertainment in the resort. Also located here, the Dino Rex Park attraction has won over visitors of all ages, emerging as one of the summer’s major new attractions.

Season Review: Events, Scenes, anddiversity
The season featured a wide variety of events and activities:
- Perla Stage – having become later, the Arlecchino scene at the Rex hosted:
- activities for children and families;
- spectacular historical reenactments;
- comedy and entertainment shows;
- educational and fun experiences at Dino Rex Park.
- The Mamma Mia Stage inPiațeta Cazino Mamaia was, throughout the summer, one of the main hubs of entertainment on the coast, hosting concerts every weekend featuring top-tier local and national artists. From Edward Sanda, Smiley, and Bere Gratis to Direcția 5, Connect-R, Alina Eremia, Theo Rose, Alex Velea, Ștefan Bănică, and Horia Brenciu, the stage brought together established names and rising stars, appealing to all generations and musical tastes. In addition, the program was complemented by themed evenings that have become highlights of the summer’s cultural calendar: Mamaia ArTiSTa – a variety show featuring music, dance, and cabaret; Mamaia Nostalgia – evenings dedicated to nostalgia and heartfelt moments; and Discoteka Show – a performance featuring hits that made Piațeta vibrate, the audience dance, and enjoy evenings full of energy and good cheer. The diversity and consistency of the events have transformed the Mamma Mia! Stage into a true permanent summer festival, solidifying Mamaia’s status as an entertainment destination for all types of tourists.

In the city andresortsresort, these partnerships have brought added diversity and quality:
- SEAS – Summer Performing Arts Festival, featuring high-quality theatrical and artistic performances;
- the Madrigal Choir's concerts, hosted at Zoom Beach;
- Romanian Navy Day, a flagship event for Constanța, featuring an impressive program and massive attendance;
- sports and lifestyle competitions, such as kiteboarding and water sports, which attracted both participants and enthusiastic spectators.

OMD Mamaia Constanța: role sand futureand future directions
The Mamaia Constanța Destination Management Organization is the body responsible for promoting, coordinating, and developing the Mamaia resort and the city of Constanța as leading tourist destinations, both nationally and internationally.
The organization's mission is to create a unified and consistent image, to implement integrated promotional campaigns, and to support events that attract tourists throughout the year.
With the end of the summer season, OMD Mamaia Constanța is turning its attention to the fall campaign, which includes:
- participation in international tourism fairs;
- strengthening relationships with external partners, including media outlets, tour operators, journalists, and influencers;
- organizing and supporting cultural events under the "Valuri de Cultură" banner, with a focus on Constanța as a city of history and the arts.
In addition, the mild weather in September and October and the growing interest in off-peak vacations have led us to focus on the appeal of autumn on the coast, with a special calendar of events.

The 2025 summer season has shown that Mamaia and Constanța can offer much more than just beach vacations: a diverse calendar of events, attractions for allages,and a blend oftradition and innovation. This year’s visible results are proof that, through a well-developed strategy and constant collaboration with stakeholders in tourism and culture, the destination is solidifying its status as a hub of Romanian tourism.
