Certain hotels in the Mamaia resort are 90% full
The end of 2023 is fast approaching, and celebrating New Year’s Eve on the Romanian coast in Mamaia has become the top choice for tourists, second only to mountain resorts. Hoteliers are waiting by the sea for everyone who wants to spend New Year’s Eve in a different way, with refined menus, themed parties, great music, spa packages, and plenty of fun.

Those who haven’t made plans for New Year’s Eve yet still have time:“For many tourists, New Year’s Eve on the Romanian coast has become particularly appealing, with Mamaia-Constanța serving as a winter alternative for celebrating the holiday. The weather has been on our side; it hasn’t been very cold on the coast, so what could be more beautiful than watching the sunrise on January 1st, the waves of the sea, and the seagulls?! “We are therefore waiting for everyone who wants to spend a unique New Year’s Eve,” saidGeorge Măndilă, President of the Mamaia Constanța Destination Management Organization.
Some hoteliers in the Mamaia resort—those offering New Year’s Eve celebrations and winter accommodations—say their occupancy rates are close to 100%. Tourists can look forward to special packages, access to on-site spas, and many surprises:
“Currently, 90 percent of our New Year’s Eve packages have been sold. We’ll definitely be fully booked in a few days,” saysAdrian Dinu, manager at Hotel RIVA in the Mamaia resort.

"For the New Year's Eve period, we have reserved55 packages that include: 3 nights' accommodation with full board, treatments for women and men, a welcome package, a New Year's Eve party and fireworks, and spa access to the indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and gym. Additionally, on the evenings of December 30 and 31, we will host a Romanian-style party and a Greek-style party, respectively, featuring live music. Entertainment for New Year’s Eve will be provided by the GIA band, and children will be entertained by animators (mini disco, face painting, and balloon twisting). “The package price is 7,190 lei for a standard double room,”said Dragoș Tudorache, general manager of Hotel IAKI in Mamaia.
"Hotel Vega is offering 3-night accommodation packages for New Year's Eve 2024, which include dinners with live music, lunch, brunch, a festive New Year's Eve dinner with special artistic performances, and a fireworks display. Package rates start at 2,575 lei per person, and for guests who wish to enjoy only the New Year’s Eve dinner, the price is 690 lei per menu. “At this time, we have occupancy rates of approximately 50% for accommodations and 80% for dinner,” says Raluca Dumitrașcu, Sales & Marketing Manager at Hotel Vega in Mamaia.
Established this spring, the Mamaia Constanța Destination Management Organization aims to launch a comprehensive campaign to explore the potential of the vacation experience the resort can offer to all segments of Black Sea tourism.
