The Mamaia-Constanța destination attracts French interest at the World Tourism Fair in Paris

Traditional Romanian music, destinations that blend authentic traditions with outdoor excursions, as well as seaside music festivals—all of which entice French visitors to spend their summer vacation in the resort town of Mamaia, on the Romanian coast. All of these are part of our country’s offerings, which have successfully introduced the French to Romania’s fairy-tale destinations, whether by the sea or in the mountains.

The French are looking for picturesque, sunny, and accessible destinations with a variety of amenities, fine sandy beaches, and clear waters. Representatives from OMD Mamaia Constanța have drawn their initial conclusions from the World Tourism Fair in Paris:

“The The second day of the Paris travel fair has also come to an end. Our destination was well received by the French. We met with both tour operators and travel agents and spoke with groups of young people, as well as with people past their prime who want to return to our destination and who have known the Mamaia resort for 20 years. Our country had nearly an hour dedicated to an open-air performance today, and the French were delighted by the traditional Romanian music performed by Tina Roman, a mezzo-soprano and student who has been living in Paris for over seven years. Wewe have a few surprises in store for the next two days of the fair, and we’ll keep you updated on the latest developments from the event,” said George Măndilă – President, Mamaia Constanța Destination Management Organization.

France is one of the seven strategic tourism markets for promoting Romania. According to the National Institute of Statistics, the number of French tourists who spent a vacation in our country increased last year by approximately 24.76% compared to the previous year.

At the same time, last fall, spectacular images of our country—including Peleș Castle, Sucevița Monastery, and the Transfăgărășan—were displayed for three weeks on 103 billboards and 17 tour buses in Paris.
