This weekend, the resort town of Mamaia enjoyed three memorable evenings with the return of the 2025 “Mamaia” National Pop Music Festival, which proved to be not just a festival, but a true cultural legacy, bringing together established artists and young up-and-comers, in a show that once again demonstrated music’s power to unite generations.
One of the most moving moments of the festival was the presentation of the Mamaia Nostalgia Trophy, an award presented by the Mamaia Constanța Destination Management Organization to figures who have made history in Romanian music and television.
The audience thus applauded with gratitude the artists and presenters who have left their mark on entire eras through their talent and dedication:
- Stela Enache – an iconic voice of pop music
- Octavian Ursulescu – the TV host who brought joy to millions of Romanian homes
- Horia Moculescu – an exceptional composer and pianist, a leading figure in Romanian music
- Corina Chiriac – one of the most beloved voices and performers on the Romanian music scene
- Marina Voica – a symbol of elegance, at 89, in a moment of absolute grace
- Dida Drăgan – a unique, powerful, and moving voice”

The Grand Prize and the Festival Awards
The festival not only brought recognition to the big names of the Romanian music scene but also helped launch the careers of new talents. The Grand Trophy of the 2025 Mamaia Festival was won by Adrian Daminescu for the song “You Are My First Love, ” performed by Cristina Sofia Damian. The prize, worth 50,000 lei, was presented by the president of the Constanța County Council, Florin Mitroi.
In the Interpretation category, the winners were:
- First Prize: Ionuț Danil – “If the Rain Would Stop” (Adi Bărar)
- Second Prize: Alexandra Serenada Sârghi – “Romania” (Adrian Daminescu)
- Third Prize: Eduard Anghelescu – “You Will Always Be” (Viorel Gavrilă)
In the Creation category, the awards went to:
- First Prize: “I Loved You” – composed by Sergiu Rudichi, performed by Delia Racu
- Second Prize: “I Need Someone” – composer and performer Ovi Jacobsen
- Third Prize: “Mi-e dor” – composed by Moni-k, performed by Romeo Zaharia
